My current interests include machine and deep learning for neuroscience and neurodegenerative diseases,
such as Alzheimer's Disease and Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis.
My main projects explore deep learning models based on 3D brain Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) for diagnosis and prognosis prediction. I am interested in improving these models by using new data augmentation strategies, such as generative AI, transfer learning and domain adaptation approaches, and multi-modal data integration (e.g., clinical, genomic data).
Furthermore, I expanded my interests towards models based on low-cost and non-invasive techniques (i.e., Electronic Medical Records, Ultrasound images, EEG signals) for the diagnosis and prognosis of diseases.
